Marc

Marc Bergeron - President & CEO

As Founder and CEO of Prolon Controls, Marc Bergeron brings more than 30 years of leadership and expertise in the HVAC and building automation industry. Prior to founding Prolon, Marc led a major controls distribution company, where he gained firsthand insight into the challenges contractors face and the limitations of traditional automation systems.

Recognizing a clear gap in the market, Marc founded Prolon with a bold vision: to make building automation simpler, more accessible, and better aligned with the real-world needs of contractors and small- to mid-sized buildings. His mission has always been to expand access to automation without compromising performance or reliability. Under his leadership, Prolon has delivered powerful, dependable control solutions that are intuitive, practical, and accessible to a broader range of buildings and industry professionals.

Outside of Prolon, Marc is a passionate snowmobile enthusiast and dedicated motorsports competitor. For over 15 years, he has been actively involved as both a racecar driver and team owner, bringing the same precision, discipline, and drive for performance from the racetrack to Prolon’s innovation and leadership.

Martin

Martin Bergeron - M.Sc. Finance, CPA, VP, Finance

Martin has more than 30 years of experience in finance across various industries including high‑tech telecommunications and aviation, as well as over 18 years in the HVAC field in both product distribution and manufacturing.

He has a strong background in corporate financial management, including working capital optimization, budgeting, financing strategies, and R&D investment oversight. He holds a CPA designation and a master’s degree in finance.

Urik

Urik Quintal - Director of Operations

Urik is an experienced Operations Manager with over 25 years of hands‑on expertise spanning procurement, manufacturing, order fulfillment, repair services, and logistics. He is recognized for his accuracy, reliability, and strong commitment to compliance standards, as well as his ability to quickly identify and mitigate potential risks or errors. Detail‑oriented and analytical, he consistently applies sound judgment and problem‑solving skills to support strategic decision‑making and enhance overall operational performance.

Paolo

Paolo Primiani - Chief Technology Officer

As CTO of Prolon, Paolo Primiani drives technology strategy with an energizing, collaborative leadership style rooted in 25+ years of HVAC innovation. He creates environments where teams think boldly, solve complex challenges together, and deliver products that set new standards for smart and resilient HVAC platforms. He leads with a hands‑on, detail‑driven approach, guiding cross‑functional teams through disciplined engineering and scalable product design. Paolo’s vision focuses on systems that last, adapt, and elevate building energy performance engineered for long‑term expandability and manufacturing efficiency. Balancing executive clarity with an engineer’s craftsmanship, he brings technical rigor and the focused discipline shaped by a lifelong passion for drumming.

Brian

Brian Galardo - Product Development Director

Brian is the Product Development Director at Prolon Controls, where he has led R&D efforts for over 20 years as the department’s founding member. Leveraging an electrical engineering background, he specializes in the firmware and software development that powers our building automation products. Brian also enjoys endurance sports, venturing into the occasional marathon or Ironman triathlon.

Daniel

Daniel Kerwin, P. Eng. - Business Development Director

Daniel Kerwin is the Director of Business Development, a role he has grown into after nearly a decade advancing through key positions within the company. He has been a driving force behind Prolon’s growth in the light‑commercial HVAC controls market.

Daniel began his career in building automation and HVAC controls in 2010, working in engineering and project management roles before moving into business development. His technical foundation stems from his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, paired with multilingual proficiency in English, French, and Spanish.

With more than 15 years of industry experience, Daniel is recognized for strengthening customer relationships, supporting distributor success, and leading Prolon’s North American outreach efforts within the HVAC and building automation sectors.

Tony

Tony Francischiello - Marketing Director

Tony’s approach to marketing has been forged through more than two decades in the building automation and controls industry, where he has earned a reputation for turning complex challenges into clear, actionable strategies. He combines creative vision with disciplined execution, consistently delivering work that is both impactful and grounded in real-world results.

He has held key marketing roles with global innovators including Viconics Electronics, Schneider Electric, and Distech Controls, gaining deep experience in navigating technical environments while keeping the focus on what truly drives progress. Tony excels at translating sophisticated concepts into practical solutions that resonate with customers and move initiatives forward.

Recognized for his collaborative mindset and precision, Tony partners closely with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to completion—ensuring every project is purposeful, aligned, and built for long-term success. Beyond his professional work, he has a lifelong passion for playing guitar, a pursuit that reflects the creativity, discipline, and continuous refinement he brings to his craft.

Rusty

Rusty Kingsbury - Technical Sales Representative

With over 25 years of experience in the HVAC and Building Automation industry, Rusty has worked across the full spectrum of the market supporting distributors in both inside and outside sales roles, leading a controls division for a mechanical contractor, and now contributing at the manufacturer level. He brings deep, hands-on expertise in automation systems, with core strengths in sales, equipment and controller selection, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and end-to-end Prolon Controls setup.

JP

Jean-Philippe Bergeron, CPI - Technical Sales Representative 

Jean‑Philippe is a Technical Sales Representative at Prolon Controls with a background in mechanical engineering and over four years in outside sales. He has worked at the engineering firm level and as a project manager for HVAC contractors, giving him a well‑rounded technical perspective. His approach is practical, efficient, and solutions‑focused. He is passionate about making smart buildings easier to implement. He also brings a competitive edge as the driver of the No. 1 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Canada Series.

Steve

Steve Nichols - Technical Sales Representative

Steve is a Business Development Manager at Prolon Controls with over 35 years of experience in the building automation and controls industry. He brings a strong background in both manufacturer and channel environments, including 28 years at Honeywell and 5 years at Johnson Controls, where he developed deep expertise in building automation systems, control solutions, and customer-focused strategies.

Previously, Steve worked as an Outside Sales Representative at Control Equipment Company, gaining hands-on experience in consultative sales, system applications, and distributor partnerships. He is known for building long-term relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning the right technologies with real-world customer needs.

John Wilcockson 2

John Wilcockson – Southern Regional Sales Director UK 

John has taken on the role of Southern Regional Sales Director, UK, at Prolon Controls. He is an experienced BMS sales leader and business development manager with a strong track record in strategy development, problem-solving, implementation, and driving innovation across the business. 

With a proven history of delivering high-performance sales and accelerating growth within B2B channel partner environments in the HVAC and BMS sectors, John brings over 25 years of industry expertise. His career includes senior roles with major manufacturers such as Honeywell, Trend, and Johnson Controls, as well as several system integrators and Trend Technology Centres. 

He has extensive experience shaping, defining, and executing regional strategies across multiple sub-regions and culturally diverse markets. 

With a strong background in both the technical and sales aspects of BMS and HVAC controls, John excels at turning challenges into practical solutions and helping customers achieve results while also focusing on building long-term relationships and repeat business. 

Colleagues describe John as reliable, easy to work with, and always ready to lend a hand. Whether it’s improving a process, answering a question, or taking on a new project, he brings a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to doing great work and solving problems. 

When not at work, you’ll usually find John walking in Derbyshire or riding his Harley-Davidson with friends.

Antoine

Antoine Lamarche - Head Technical Trainer

Antoine graduated from a technical college with a degree in electronics before venturing into the HVAC controls world more than three decades ago. Later, he added a business management diploma to his résumé and eventually became part of the management team that helped secure and expand one of eastern North America’s most successful HVAC controls distributors. His many years in the trade—both behind a desk and in the field—have allowed Antoine to gain not only vast and rich experience in controls, but also in teaching.

Fluent in both English and French, Antoine has organized and hosted countless in-class technical training sessions, as well as various seminars on HVAC-related topics, throughout his career.

Having worked in close collaboration with Prolon since its inception, Antoine joined their team to take the helm of technical support and training activities as the official Head Technical Trainer.

Chris

Christopher Lyon - Technical Trainer

Building on an MRO background, Chris moved into HVAC service and repair working for a mechanical contractor in the Pacific Northwest so he could focus on a single craft.  Always striving to learn new concepts and technologies while providing the highest level of customer service, he quickly advanced through the ranks and eventually crossed over into HVAC control systems.  

Chris has over 25 years of real-world field experience with numerous control platforms and various types of HVAC equipment systems. His experience on both the mechanical and controls sides of common as well as unconventional applications allows him to ask questions and formulate solutions that ensure customer needs are met while making sure to protect equipment from costly damage. His goal to always meet or exceed expectations means he will give you straight answers about your project and the best way forward.  As a trainer, Chris enjoys sharing his knowledge with the next generation of technicians so they can become proficient and independent using Prolon.

Neil

Neil Bhagwandass - Technical Support Technician

Neil provides dependable technical support, helping clients troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions efficiently. With over 20 years of customer service experience, Neil brings a strong customer‑focused approach to his role. He is known for his clear communication, patience, and ability to provide practical, user‑friendly guidance. Committed to delivering excellent customer service, Neil approaches every interaction with professionalism, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help.
